The York Toros hosted their 4^th York Toros @ The Pavilion Invitational tournament on the weekend of October 21 to October 23.

This year the York Toros were honoured to host the Rødovre Mighty Bulls from Denmark. And what an exciting tournament for this Minor Midget team. This age group had eight great teams competing for the championship. Rødovre’s first experience of Canadian hockey was against the Hamiltion Reps, which saw Rødovre win 4-1 in a very fast paced game. Next up to challenge the Mighty Bulls were the Oshawa Generals, tying Rødovre 2-2. The final round robin game saw the two bulls meet, Rødovre Mighty Bulls and the York Toros. The Toros took an early lead but couldn’t hold on losing 3-1 to the Mighty Bulls.

In the minor midget semi finals it took two overtime periods and a shoot out for Oshawa to beat Burlington and move onto the Finals. The Championship game saw Rødovre and Oshawa meet up again in another exciting fast paced game. Rødovre went on to win 3-0. Congratulation Rødovre!

The Rideau St. Lawrence Kings managed to win in three divisions, Minor Peewee, Peewee & Bantam. In the minor bantam division the North Bay Trappers beat the Orangville Flyers 3-0. Both teams played an amazing game!
